Why change DMS?
Our previous setup simply wasn’t able to cope with the pace of growth. It was made up of three separate systems, fragmented across several platforms for different parts of our business and it couldn’t deliver reliable, timely financial information. As the business scaled, that lack of integration and oversight created significant challenges – one example being that the financial information was never live, it was all historical and that can’t help decision making. The directors could not access the financials they needed, and it became clear we required a single, scalable DMS to provide structure, visibility, and the capacity to expand further.
How did you first hear about Titan DMS?
The decision to move to Titan was made before I joined. Other groups we knew had Titan and had recommended it, a few team members with prior experience of Titan spoke positively about it, and it was recognised as a strong fit for the business requirements.
What made you choose Titan DMS over other products on the market?
It’s an all-in-one dealership management system. It provides a single database across the entire business, which eliminates integration issues and ensures consistency. For a growing organisation, the ability to scale seamlessly, add branches, and undertake detailed financial and departmental reporting is a major advantage. Training was effective, although facilities on our side were limited. Titan Academy provided a useful introduction and gave staff initial exposure. However, the most valuable learning came once we were hands-on.

How soon after the Titan implementation did you notice improvements in your business?
Within a couple of months, the system was really stable. Bank reconciliations, deal processing, and financial reporting were operating smoothly, and we had already completed month-end accounts successfully.

- Receipting and reconciliation: Titan quickly highlights missing funds or errors. I built complementary processes around the system, which has created complete integrity in our reconciliations.
- Visibility: With Titan, we can immediately see when something isn’t working and address it quickly.
- Integration: A single system has removed the inefficiencies of working across multiple platforms.
- Live Data: We can now see all our data in real time and we have built some outside reporting to suit our specific needs using the data feeds from the Titan system.
- Stability for staff: Once the financial controls were in place, staff could focus on their roles without disruption. It was an easy system for them to pick up as well.

How do you see the Titan range of products assisting your business over the next few years?
I think we will continue to expand our use of Titan, adding complementary tools to help accounts payable automations, we’ll take a look at Vehicle Barcoding and we’ll implement some AI automations using Titan’s APIs. Over the next two years the company will double in size, with new branches to come. Titan provides the platform that will support that growth.
Do you consider Titan DMS to be good value for money?
Definitely.
Given what you know now, would you still have made the change to Titan DMS?
Absolutely. I rave about it. I walk about actively saying it was the right decision. Titan is a perfect fit for our business and provides the foundation we need to grow.
